31 Days of Halloween 2012 - Day 3: Costume Bows

Looking to add just a little bit of Halloween spirit without going overboard?  Make these quick and easy bows to wear by themselves or match them to your costume.  These are also great for team spirit bows, depending on what your school mascot and/or colors are.  Here's how you do it:
Buy some pre-decorated felt.  I found these sheets at Hobby Lobby for about 50 cents.  (You can order them herehere, and here if you don't have a Hobby Lobby near you.)

Cut strips to the width you'd like your bows to be.

Trifold each strip,

Pinch in the middle, like so,

And secure with a clear elastic hairband (you can find them in the hair accessories aisle at Walmart or Target) - or use floral wire.

Turn over and trim any visible tails.

This is what you will have at this point:

Hot glue satin or grosgrain ribbon around the center, making sure you catch the alligator clip in the ribbon.
(Be careful when gluing if you used clear elastic as it can melt the elastic.)

And you're done!!  Clip those puppies in your hair and get going with your bad self ;P
